WhatsApp rolls out new Dark Theme feature to show Netflix videos within the app

New Delhi: Facebook-owned instant messaging app WhatsApp is working on a new feature for its iOS-based app, which will allow users to stream Netflix videos without dropping them within the messaging app.
Soon WhatsApp will get an update in which all users will be able to stream to Netflix and Amazon without leaving the app. According to the sources, Whatsapp will show a large thumbnail of the video with a play button on a corner. It will be in a similar way that is seen with links from Youtube appearing on WhatsApp. The Facebook-owned app is in the process of developing this feature on Whatsapp’s iOS-based app only, which means iPhone users will the once to experience this feature first whenever it is released.
WhatsApp is actively working to implement a dark theme on its Android app. The company has now implemented dark flash bubbles in Android beta for Android.
According to a report by WABetaInfo, the blog that tracks development in WhatsApp, the company has implemented dark splash screen in the beta version of its Android app. While the company hasn’t officially rolled out dark theme on its Andriod based app yet, it has released the 2.19.311 update for beta testers of its Android app.
In addition to the implementation of dark splash screen, the popular social messaging app has also made some changes to its dark theme. As per the screenshots shared by the blogsite, WhatsApp has refined the look of the lock icon in the dark bubble within its Android app, which now looks more clean and balanced.
