US Approves Sales to Support Pak F-16 Fighter Planes

Washington: The US on Friday informed Congress of its decision to approve a $ 125 million military sale to support F-16 fighter jets in Pakistan.
The hub came days after a meeting between President Donald Trump and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to reports, both sides declared the meeting very successful. The Defense Cooperation Agency said in a statement: “The State Department has decided to approve the possible sale of foreign military sales to Pakistan by the Technical Security Team (TST) in ongoing support of the F-16 program for an estimated cost of $ 125 million.”
It is worth noting here that Pakistan has always used the F-16 against India, the latest being after the Bilakot attack inside Pakistan by India.
The Pentagon has made it clear that the proposed sale of that support will not change the basic military balance in the region.
