Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visits Sakhalin oil field in Russia

New Delhi: Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited the Sakhalin oil field in Russia today.
“I have long desired to visit the Sakhalin oil field. Today, there was a day trip to the Sakhalin area and processing facilities. ONGC Videsh Limited has 20% stakes of Sakhalin-1 since 2001, as part of Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s vision to develop energy relations with Russia.
He had a day trip to the Sakhalin area and processing facilities. It is an oil producing area like Bombay High. Exxon Mobil, Rosneft, Japanese SODECO and ONGC Videsh are partners in the region that will continue to produce oil and gas until 2055.
Pradhan visited the rig “crèche”, the largest and most powerful land in the world. It is a covered rig to allow people to work in extreme temperatures (-40 ° C in winter) – it drills up to 14 KM in horizontal drilling.
