Two minor boys drowned after falling into a pit in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: In a tragic incident, two minor boys died after drowning in a cave near Nuapada, below the borders of the Belpahar municipality in the Jharsuguda district on Thursday. The deceased were identified as Chandan Sabat (8) and Abhinav Swain (2). According to sources, two boys played about 300 meters from their house in the evening when they fell into a pit filled with water that was dug up for laying the railway. After they spotted the duo, the locals saved them and took them to the Jahangir Gandhi Hospital. However, doctors at the hospital declared them dead. The Belgian police visited the hospital and recorded a case of unnatural death in this regard. The investigation was initiated on this issue, the police said.
