Two killed, 1 dead in Ganjam and Jharsuguda

Khallikot: A man and his mother were stabbed to death and another woman was seriously hurt after coming in contact with a live electric wire. These incidents took place at two different places in Odisha today.
The deceased mother-son duo have been identified as Narayan Nayak (35) and her mother Sajni Nayak (60) of Bakutu village under Khalilikot police limits in Ganjam district.
According to sources, the incident happened around 11 am today when Narayan was busy repairing a fan in his house. Suddenly, Narayan came into contact with a live electric wire and scorched in pain. Meanwhile, his mother Sajni tries to save him, but the two fall apart.
Immediately, the locals rushed the mother-son duo to Khallikot CHC, where both were declared dead by the doctor.
On getting the information, Khalikot police reached the hospital, sent the dead bodies to Ganjam DHH for postmortem and registered a case of unnatural death.
In another incident, Saraswati Mari (42), a female worker from Palasada in Jharsuguda district, suffered serious injuries after coming in contact with an 11 KV electric wire. The incident occurred when she was engaged in the construction of a market complex in Palasada in the district.
He was immediately rushed to Lakhanpur CHC by people in critical condition. She was under surveillance until the final report came.
