Two criminals in separate police encounter in Odisha

Bhubaneswar / Khurda: Two dreaded criminals were apprehended after separate police encounters in Bhubaneswar and Khurda late last night.
The commissionerate police arrested the notorious criminal Sushant Manjhi after an encounter at K7 area in the capital’s Kalinga Nagar. Majhi was wanted in several cases of murder and robbery in the state. He was also recently involved in a robbery of Rs 60 lakh from a bank in Tangi area of ??Bhubaneswar.
Majhi, who hails from Hatabasta area of ??Nayagarh district, was en route to Bhubaneswar for alleged robbery when a police team, acting on a tipoff about the robbery scheme, stopped him in the K7 area.
To avoid arrest, the police team retaliated in retaliation, but the police retaliated with a bullet to his leg but a bullet to his left leg. Subsequently, the injured criminal was rushed to the Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar and later transferred to SCB Hospital when his condition deteriorated.In another crackdown on criminals in the state, Neerkar and a joint team of Tangi police officers arrested a dreaded criminal identified as Jamshed Khan after an encounter near Rameshwar in Khurda district on Wednesday night.
Acting on receiving information about Khan’s movement, police teams including the IIC of Neerkarpur and Tangi police stations raided a site in Rameshwar area. On seeing the police, Khan hurled a country bomb at him, injuring two IICs and two other police. Later, the police team retaliated in retaliation and arrested Khan.
Khan, who was injured by a bullet in his left leg, is currently undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
