The plane descended from the runway to the airport in Nepal, two injured

Kathmandu: The Nepalese airport was closed on Friday after the plane slid out of the runway by injuring two people. The runway has been recently repaired.

According to reports, the Yeti Airlines ATR 72-500, which arrived in Kathmandu from southern Nepal with 66 passengers, slipped about 15 meters in grass.
Airport Director Raj Kumar Chettri said they are working to remove the aircraft and reopen the airport.
A similar event took place in September last year when a Malaysian plane with 139 people on board sailed from the runway.
The US-Bangla Airways plane crashed near the airport and killed 51 people in March 2018.
