The abduction and murder case of Kalyanpur: Six people, including the accused, surrendered to Odisha

Nayagarh: In a large-scale development of the kidnapping and murder of Kalyanpur, six people, including the prime minister, surrendered today to Odagaon JMFC.
After that, the main accused, identified as Jyotirmaya Mohanty alias Kaalu and another five persons, was arrested and sent to the court. Kaalu is the son of Sarpanch from the Gotisahi panchayata.
Allegedly, all the accused were involved in the abduction and murder of one Rabbi Pradhan from the village of Kalyanpur under the boundaries of the Sarankul police in Khurda district.
It is significant that Rabi disappeared on June 14th. Rabbi’s mother filed a complaint with the Sarankul police claiming that her son was abducted. After the registration of the case (Case No. 43/19), the police launched an investigation into the incident.
The Accused kidnapped Rabbi, and later he was burned to death in the Tangi district of Khordha district.
The body was exhumed by the police, and a sample was sent to the DNA test to determine the identity after which the secret was discovered.
