Startup Development Cells are set up in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: While interacting with the startups, Capt. Divya Shankar Mishra, Minister, MSME, Energy, Industries & Home, said that the development of the start-up ecosystem remains the government’s top priority and will be expanded to districts in the next phase of Building Startup Development Cells. He added that startups are getting all kinds of support to grow their business.
ACS, MSME L.N. Gupta said 433 startups have registered with startup Odisha in the past 26 months, of which 138 are female-run startups. He also announced that 84 grants have been awarded to recognized startups and incubators.
In addition, 12 incubators and 13 Nodal agencies are working to help the Startup Odisha-winning startups. On this occasion, the startups Phoenix Robotix (IOT), SakRobotix (Robotics Education), Aether Innovations (FoodTech) and Epsum Labs (IOT) participated, Udiyate Technologies (AI), One World Healthcare, MedTel (Healthcare) and Novolutions Food & Beverages showed the Hon’ble Minister their innovative products. Minister appreciated her innovative products and services.
The Director of Industries P. Nath and P. Biswal, Evangelist, said there is a plan to organize a Conclave-cum-Grand Challenge at national level this year.
At the request of the startups it was decided to organize a “Startup Job Mela” to bring together the startups as recruiter and talents of various technical institutions. It was also decided to organize a demonstration of the emergency communication system and the urban flood monitoring system developed by OSDMA startups.
