Squaws star Saurav Ghosal and Joshna Chinappa sign with Baseline Ventures

New Delhi: Baseline Ventures today announced the signing of two of the largest Indian squash stars as Joshna Chinappa and Saurav Ghosal joined the list of athletes managed by the company.
Both competitors were the flag bearers of the squash country and recently won titles when they won the men’s and women’s titles at the Asian Championship in May earlier this year.
Saurav Ghosal of Kolkata has been a consistent performer for more than a decade and has recently reached his best career in World No. 10 in April this year, becoming the first Indian to enter the top 10 in the process. The twenty-two year old had a stunning start of his career and became the first Indian to win the first place at junior level in the sport. He was also the first Indian to win a medal in sport when he won the 2006 Bronze medal in Doha.
Chinappa expressed her satisfaction with the development, saying: “I’m delighted to sign up with Baseline Ventures and I look forward to a fruitful relationship with the company. She’s busy in front of us in 2019 and I hope to count it by giving the best possible rate. Gosal also expressed similar emotions when he said: “It was a good year for me personally. After reaching the best career rank, I’m really excited to sign a contract with Baseline Ventures.
Vishal Jaison, co-founder of Baseline Ventures, sounded extremely excited about signing. He said, “Saurav and Joshne are proven performers in their sport and undoubtedly the best squash talent this country has produced. It is absolutely a pleasure to have them with us. Their name just makes the list of athletes Baseline Ventures exclusive.
The company established in 2014 is one of the leaders in sports, events, entertainment and licensing in India. They represent and manage some of the greatest names in Indian sports, including PV Sindhu, Pankaj Advani, Prithvi Shaw, Smriti Mandhan and Ravindra Jade.
