Sameer Mohanty elected Odisha State BJP President

Bhubaneswar: Senior BJP leader Sameer Mohanty was elected as the President of Odisha BJP on Thursday. Mohanty was unanimously named by the BJP’s district unit presidents, MLAs, MPs and council members.
Party observer for organizational elections, Narendra Singh Tomar made a formal announcement in this regard here today. Senior party leaders including Dharmendra Pradhan and Arun Singh were present on the occasion.
Currently, Sameer Mohanty is the Odisha state vice president of the saffron party. He will replace Basant Panda as state BJP president.
KV Singhdev, Jual Oram and Suresh Pujari were the top contenders in the race for the state president’s post. However, Sameer Mohanty successfully came out unopposed.
