Samaleshwari Express catches fire; 3 passengers injured

Rayagada: Three passengers were reportedly injured after the Samaleshwari Express engine caught fire on Tuesday after colliding with another engine.
The mishap occurred between the Rayagada Singapore Road and Keutagada.
According to sources, the engine of the express train caught fire after a motor from the opposite direction on the track was allegedly pushed into it.
After the collision some bogies burned in the back of the train. Besides, the engine which hit the train also caught fire.
The pictures published by a local television station showed thick smoke emerging from the burning train.
Three passengers were reportedly injured in the accident and efforts were made to rescue them.
