Riot in Odisha rally over Ashwini Baishnab RS candidacy

Bhubaneswar: Today’s Odisha rally witnessed a riot after congress leaders from the BJD chief and CM Naveen Patnaik asked why his party supported BJP candidate Ashwini Baishnab for the Rajya Sabha election.
The exhibit was raised by Congressional Legislative Leader Narasingha Mishra during Zero Hour.
Mishra said that in his report, the Tara-Dutt Committee clearly spoke about Baishnab’s complicity in the discretionary quota fraud being investigated by the vigilance department.
He also claimed that Baishnab had a connection with the Mine Mafia. Mishra said, “The Shah Commission, which was investigating the mine scam in Odisha at that time, had recommended a CBI probe. Five years have passed, but the NDA government still has to take care of it. “
The Chairman of the Supreme Congress, who was asked for answers by the Chief Minister, asked, “Under what circumstances did BJD decide to support the candidacy of the former bureaucrat for Rajya Sabha?”
Pandemonium prevailed in the House of Representatives, after the congressman, headed by Tara Prasad, hurried Bahinipati to the well of the house and shouted slogans against the alleged connection between BJD and BJP.
Since the trial could not be conducted, the speaker adjourned the house for 5 minutes and called for an all-party meeting to discuss the issue. Later, the house was interrupted three times for a short period until 1:16 pm.
