Restarting a vehicle in Malkangiri after a disturbance due to continuous rain

Malkangiri: Driving a vehicle in Malkangiri district has returned to normal after several days of disturbance due to the sinking of bridges after continuous rain.
Over 600 people have been relocated to safer places in the lowlands, district administration officials said.
The highways were interrupted in several blocks connecting Jeypore, Kalimela and Balimela with water flowing 4-5 meters above the roads, while communication on the Malkangiri-Kalimela-Motu and Malkangiri-Mathili-Govindpalli-Jeypore routes on NH-326 was disrupted. . Low-lying bridges in MV-7, Potter and Kangrukonda have also been sunk.
Similarly, the connection on the Malkangiri-Kalimela-Podia route was cut off as the road in Undrukonda was flooded by a flash flood triggered by continuous showers for several days.
Malkangiri collector Manish Agarwal has suspended classes from all schools on Friday and Saturday amid heavy rainfall forecast by the Met department.
