Reliance Jio further expands revenue market leadership in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Further expanding its revenue leadership position in the telecom and digital services sector in Odisha, Reliance Jio achieved market share of over 48.1% in gross revenue for the quarter ended September 2019, on the area released by the Telecom Regulatory Authority The latest financial report revealed India. Jio has a market share of 48.1% in gross revenue in Odisha in the July – September 2019 quarter, which is 12% higher than its nearest rival Bharti Airtel.
The TRAI report stated that in terms of adjusted gross revenue (AGR) in Odisha this quarter, Reliance Jio strengthened its leadership position with 56.8% market share. As per the report, Reliance Jio has raised Rs. Achieved adjusted gross revenue of Rs. 469.7 crores in the July-September 2019 quarter, followed by Rs. 349.4 crores, Vodafone Idea 94.7 crores and BSNL 59.4 crores. Also nationally, Reliance Jio has further strengthened its position as the top revenue earner in the region with 34.7% market share in gross revenue as per the latest financial data released by TRAI from July to September 2019.
It is worth mentioning here that Reliance Jio has been continuously adding highest number of subscribers in Odisha every month, fuelled by its all 4G network, fast expansion of its 4G network coverage in the hitherto unconnected hinterlands and the hugely popular affordable ‘JioPhone – India ka Smartphone’ in rural as well as semi-urban population. As per the latest mobile subscriber data released recently by TRAI, Reliance Jio added over 2 lakhs new subscribers in Odisha taking its total mobile subscriber base in the state to over 1.10 crores. As per TRAI subscriber data for September 2019, nationally Reliance Jio added over 69.8 lakhs new subscribers in September while other service providers including Airtel and Vodafone Idea lost over 49 lakh subscribers during the same period.
