Rahul Gandhi resigned as Congress president

New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi resigned on Wednesday as Congress president and said it was an honor to serve parties whose values ??and ideals served as “the blood of this beautiful nation”
As president of the Congress, he said he was responsible for the loss of the Lok Sabha election in 2019. “Accountability is crucial for the future growth of our client. That’s why I resigned as Congress president, “he said in an open letter he shared on Twitter.
Gandhi, who proposed to entrust the Congress’s Working Committee with the task of finding a new party president and that it would not be right to choose his successor, also said that he owes a debt of great gratitude and love to the country and to his organization.
He said that he sometimes felt “alone” in his fight against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS, but he is proud of it. “The renewal of the party requires tough decisions and many people will have to be responsible for the failure of 2019. It would be unfair to consider others accountable, but ignore my responsibility as party president,” he said.
Gandhi, who was firm in his decision to quit as president of the party, must be denied the power to kill his opponents. “We will not defeat our opponents without sacrificing our desire for power,” he said.
“Congress must radically transform itself, the duty of the party is to defend the voices of people that the BJP has been demolished.
“I was born as a congressman, this party has always been with me and it is my life blood and will remain forever,” he said in his letter.
Many of his colleagues suggested appointing the next president of the Congress: “It is important that someone else leads our party, it would not be right for me to choose that person,” he said.
The successor to the Gandhi family, who led the party since December 2017, said his fight was never a battle for political power.
