Pregnant Woman Onboard Odisha-Bound Shramik Special Train, Delivers Baby Girl At Titilagarh Rly Station

Bhubaneswar: A pregnant woman, who had boarded the Shramik special train from Kazipet in Telangana to Bolangir in Odisha, delivered a baby girl at Titilagarh railway station today.
According to sources, the woman, Hema Kanti, had boarded the special train from Kazipet in Telangana to Bolangir. However, the woman complained of labour pain near Titilagarh railway station. Following which, the train was halted at the station and the matter was immediately alerted to the officials.
Later, Hema delivered a baby girl at around 10.15 AM in the presence of Railway Divisional Medical Officer. After the delivery, both mother and the newborn deboarded the train at 10.55 AM.
On arrival, they were shifted to government hospital. Reportedly, the health condition of the woman and her child is stated to be stable now.
This is the second such delivery case on train in Odisha in less than 48 hrs.
