Police Commissioner raids three common drug smugglers

Bhubaneswar: Commissariat Police have launched a special fight against the usual drug smugglers under various boundaries of police stations to break the noise in the capital.
Three cases were registered under the police stations Laxmisagar, Nandankanan and Badagada, where three accused persons were arrested yesterday.
According to a press release published by DCP’s office, 14.42 grams of brown sugar, cache of 1.130 dinars and 1.476 kg of claws were seized from the accused persons.
The arrested faces were identified as Sanjay Mohanty (30), Sankar Rout (51) and Bichitra Behera (27), who were the usual drug smugglers, the police said.
According to the Excitement and Execution Agency in Cuttack, the Accused Sanjay Mohanty has many such files for the smuggling and trafficking of narcotic substances.
Komesar’s police also said that as many as eight criminal cases were ongoing against Sanjay in PS Laxmisagar since 2012.
“In order to fight against the usual drug smugglers, such activities are in progress in order to neutralize and uncover the secret transaction of smugglers,” Bhubaneswar Additional DCP said.
