Odisha govt promotes MLE Shiksha Sahayaks in Junior Teacher

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s government has decided to promote Shiksha Sahayaks (SS) engaged in multilingual education (MLE) for younger teachers (JT) who have completed three years of service.
The director of the Odisha School Program Program (OPEPA), Jyoti Prakash Das, State Project Director, wrote to District Project Coordinators on the Right to Education (RTE) in this regard. The government, after careful consideration, decided that the SS SSCs who completed three years of continuous and satisfactory service would be declared a teacher and that the compensation will increase, “Das said in a letter.
He asked the district project coordinators to take the necessary steps in this regard and to submit a compliance report within one month.
In particular, MLE Shiksha Sahayaks was engaged to provide equally high quality education for tribal children and to provide a medium of instruction in the mother tongue as much as possible.
