Odisha DGP assures IMA delegation full protection to health workers fighting COVID-19

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Police is committed to the safety of health professionals engaged in serving the patients of coronavirus in the state. This assurance was given to the delegation of Odisha chapter of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) during their meeting with the Odisha DGP Abhay at the state police headquarters on Saturday.
The meeting was mainly devoted to the security crisis of the doctors, health workers, and professionals engaged in treating patients affected with coronavirus.
The DGP said the state police is committed to their safety and security and assured the delegation to act fearlessly in fighting the dreaded corona.
The delegation was headed by the former president of IMA, Odisha chapter, Dr. Purna Chandra Mohapatra, Nibedita Pani, Secretary Dr. Braja Kishore Das, and others.
The delegation also praised the efforts of police personnel while discharging their duties at hospitals and other places in view of the COVID-19 outbreak.
