Puri: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched at least seven projects worth Rs 522 crore in Puri with the aim of transforming the religious city into a world-class city.
The projects for which the foundation was laid by the CM were the redevelopment of the Municipal Market on Grand Road, Swargadwar Vikas, Sri Setu, Jagannath Ballav Pilgrimage Center, Multi-Level Car Parking, Vending Zone for Beach, Centralized Kitchen for Central. -Day Meal and Ahar.
Remarkably, Sri Setu, to be constructed under the ABADHA scheme, will play an important role in traffic congestion by controlled direct access to the Jagannath Ballav pilgrimage center from NH-316. It is a Rs 181 crore project.
Similarly, another important one in the list of the Rs 5 crore Swargadwar Redevelopment Project to be executed with a fund allocation of Rs 5 crore will benefit Palabjars with a world-class cremation facility.
Earlier in the day, Naveen visited the Sri Jagannath temple after reaching the Talabania helipad and sought blessings for the well-being of the people of the state.
