Mobile app to be developed to treat mentally ill children: SSEPD minister

Bhubaneswar: A mobile app used to treat mentally-retired children in the state will be developed in collaboration with Digital Academy, run by IM NIMHANS ‘(Bengaluru), Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) Minister Ashok Chandra Panda .
The minister said that he has recently discussed the issue with BN Gangadhar, director of the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience (NIMHANS), Bengaluru. The institute and the SSEPD department will work with close collaboration to develop the device through its digital academy.
He discussed in detail the post-trauma psychological care and counseling done by NIMHANS for natural disasters in the state.
Minister Panda also said that Narayana Hrudayalaya, a renowned institute of health for cardiovascular diseases, Dr. During her meeting with Devi Seti, Director, NH, it has been requested to expedite her work to set up a hospital in Bhubaneswar.
