Migrant Worker Returns Home From Surat To Ganjam On Cycle

Berhampur: A migrant Odia worker from Ganjam district of Odisha reached his hometown from Surat in Gujarat after cycling for 14 days.
According to sources, one Duryodhan Pradhan (27) of Bishnuchakra village under Karadabadi panchayat in Buguda block of Ganjam district had migrated for work in Surat. Due to the lockdown, Pradhan was left with no money.
Following this, he decided to return home on cycle.
He cycled from Surat for 14 days and reached his hometown at Bishnuchakra village.
However, upon reaching, the villagers did not allow him to go to his house. Later, the village sarpanch took him to the government quarantine centre at the Upper Primary School in the village.
The sarpanch said that the youth will be kept in the quarantine for 14 days and undergo a COVID-19 test.
