MEA rejects US report on religious tolerance in India

New Delhi: The Foreign Ministry (MEA) has stated that India is committed to tolerance and inclusion and proud of its worldly qualifications.
The MEA rejected the US State Department’s report on international religious freedom, which highlighted instances of religious intolerance in India as being tolerance and inclusion. “
In its annual international report on religious freedom, released on Friday, the US State Department described the attacks of violent extremist Hindu groups on members of minority communities, especially Muslims, in 2018.
The State Department surveyed the location of a foreign country, such as the US, to comment on the state of the constitutionally protected rights of the Indians.
“The Indian Constitution guarantees all citizens, including minorities, fundamental rights. We see no place where a foreign entity could comment on the state of the constitutionally protected rights of our citizens, “the statement said.
