Maoists warn of the death penalty for forest destroyers in Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: Maoist posters calling on the public to save forests were spotted on Wednesday near the Kundei area under the Raighar block in Nabarangpur district.
The posters were allegedly spotted in the nearby forests of Bhagaram and Batamuha in the Kundei area. Through the poster, members of the forbidden organization warned people to stop growing on forest land or face the consequences.
Ultras warned of the death penalty for four people allegedly abusing money in the name of forest security. They also threatened the public not to cut trees and burn forests.
In addition, the rebels also claimed that despite the wood mafia in the area, the forest department did not take any action against them.
After being informed, the local police came to this place and seized the poster.
