Major League Baseball announces the opening of its six offices in India

New Delhi: Major League Baseball (MLB) announced Tuesday the opening of the sixth international office in New Delhi’s capital for the promotion of baseball.
Speaking on that occasion, Senior Vice President of MLB, International, Jim Small, said: “We are especially excited to watch the program in India. The country has enormous potential for us, and we want to make sure that India is an important part of the growing brand that is MLB. “
“As the name suggests, MLB First Pitch will provide participants with their first opportunity to learn baseball from our certified trainers. The MLB’s ambition was to establish our presence in India and I am really pleased that through this initiative I am working with our potential fans, “he added.
Former Indian player and assistant coach of Delhi Capitals Mohammad Kaif said: “I am very happy to be associated with Major League Baseball on behalf of Delhi Capitals.”
“Cricket and baseball have a lot of common things. Growing up in cricket, we have always known that a similar sport is playing in the United States, but he never even thought that he would one day come to India. Delhi Capitals is delighted to help support the MLB brand and introduce India to a new sport, “he added.
India on the Road (IOT), the leading Indian sports, marketing and development company, is partnering with MLB to expand and launch the MLB First Pitch program.
“It is a privilege for us to be associated with a brand such as Major League Baseball, which is the only leading baseball player around the world,” said Vivek Sethia, founder and director of On On Track. “Bringing an experienced baseball program in the form of MLB First Pitch, our goal is to welcome the Indian audience to a new sport in the country. We are sure that through this MLB program, it will be able to inspire a new generation to play baseball. “
MLB India will have the opportunity to display the baseball in the country by playing on Facebook every week until the end of the regular season. Games are available to anyone who has a Facebook account in any part of the world.
