Lok Sabha passes Central Education Institute

New Delhi: Lok Sabha adopted a bill on secondary school institutions (Teacher Reserve) on Monday, aiming to ensure the provision of teacher positions in central institutions for people from regular ranks, planned tribes, social and educational classes back and forth economically weak sectors (EWS).
It will also enable the filling of about 7,000-8,000 existing vacancies in 41 central universities.
The Union Cabinet, headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, endorsed the Bill on June 12, replacing the Regulation on Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in Personnel), 2019.
