Light rain reduces Delhi pollution level marginally

New Delhi: The level of pollution in Delhi has dipped marginally after light rains but the AQI continues to be ‘severe’, according to reports.
The reports said a day after Delhi-NCR recorded the worst air quality of the season, the pollution levels in the national capital and neighbouring region have dropped marginally after light showers on Saturday night and Sunday morning.
The hazardous air quality has forced the authorities to shut schools, ban construction activities and declare a ‘public health emergency’.
According to System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR) the overall Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 410 on Sunday morning.
