Kotak contributes 5 rupees for Odisha Cyclone Relief

Bhubaneswar: The Kotak Mahindra Bank (Kotak) announced today that it will carry out civil protection operations in the Cyclone Fani-affected areas of Odisha.
Civil protection measures, including emergency aid, rehabilitation and reconstruction, are being implemented under the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, the bank said.
The CSR Emergency Relief and Rehabilitation Program is being carried out in cooperation with the Odisha National Civil Protection Authority (OSDMA) for the people of Odisha, who were seriously affected by Tropical Cyclone Fani on 3 May 2019.
Under the CSR program, Kotak contributed Rs.5 billion to finance the implementation of the CSR program in the cyclone Fani-affected regions of the state.
Uday Kotak, Managing Director and CEO of Kotak Mahindra Bank, said, “Our thoughts and prayers are addressed to the people of Odisha who are affected by this disaster and to those who work tirelessly to help the needy to restore them and to rehabilitate. “
