Karnataka is likely to head for President’s Rule

Bengaluru: Karnataka may be the head of the president while President KR Ramesh Kumar does not decide on the resignation of the 15 rebel MLA Congress and the JD-S combination.
Sources from the party announced on Thursday that the BJP is not in a hurry to make a claim to form a government amid uncertainty.
BJP spokesman G Madhusudan said: “If the president takes longer to accept or reject the rebels’ resignations, the governor can recommend the presidential rule in the state because we do not want to take the right to power in such a situation.
In the event that the president needs more time to decide on their resignations, the rebels will probably approach the court for his intervention, sources said.
Until resignations are approved, the strength of the Assembly will remain 225, including one candidate, since rebels are still members, while 113 are halfway for an ordinary majority.
