India is concerned with energy security in the US

New Delhi: India has shared its concern about “energy security” with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
According to official figures, India and the US discussed the developing situation in Iran on Wednesday. The meeting is set against the background of the expiration of US exemptions for Iranian oil imports to India.
Foreign Minister S Jaishankar said at a press conference that it is important that the global energy supply remains predictable.
Pompeo said, “We all know that Iran is the world’s largest state sponsor of terror and Indians have suffered terror worldwide. We share a common understanding of the threat and a common goal to ensure that we can provide the energy at the right price and deter that threat. “
Earlier, Pompeo met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss various aspects of India-US relations.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Raveesh Kumar tweeted that Prime Minister Donald Trump would meet on the sidelines of the upcoming G20 summit in Osaka.
