Four notorious criminals were arrested in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Commissary police arrested four notorious criminals who were involved in the robbery of locked houses in and around Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
According to a press release published by the DCP office, criminals are shot at driving a special team of CP with Khandagiri police. One owner, 3 live bullets, two cars (Ford Endeavor and Maruti Suzuki Swift), 150 grams of golden decoration, four bikes, five LCDs, one music system and one laptop were seized from their possession.
The arrested faces were identified as Satya Singh, alias Ganesh Purty (26), Sadam alias Sk Sadam Hussein (26), Balia alias Balaram Nayak (22) and Pradip Kumar Sahu (38) who received and disposed of stolen valuables, police said .
“The modus operandi of the gang was to target a closed or locked house in the city and to steal valuables along with vehicles. In the recent past, some expensive cars have been reported stolen from the garage. In addition, a number of breach cases have also been reported in the airport area, Khandagiri and Tamando, “the Commissariat police said, adding that those who were captured by the special team today were behind a series of robberies.
The Twin City Police Department also informed that the Accused Ganesh Purty was arrested and several criminal cases were ongoing against him at various police stations in Bhubaneswar. In addition, Sk Sadam has also become known for his involvement in several criminal cases in Bhubaneswar and Puri district, the police added.
Apparently, four notorious criminals have admitted to having participated in at least seven cases of burglary and that further investigation is under way. Police Khandagiri registered a case (28/19) according to articles 457 and 380 IPC.
