Dharmendra Pradhan thanks Jaishankar for rescuing five Nigerian sailors

New Delhi : Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan thanked Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Saturday for intervening in the rescue of five Indian sailors, including one from Odisha.
In a tweet, Pradhan Jaishankar and all involved thanked her for her efforts to release five Indian seafarers, including Sudeep Chowdhary from Odisha.
Pradhan had tackled the matter with the MEA after he was given an emergency by Pradeepta Kumar Chowdhary, a resident of Odisha, whose son Sudeep, a sailor’s 3rd officer on the ship ‘MT Apecus’, along with four other Haryana sailors , Maharashtra, was held hostage and Andhra.
The Union Minister had asked Jaishankar in writing for his personal intervention.
Sudeep Chaudhary, Ankit Hooda, Chirag Yadav, Avinash Reddy and Moogu Ravi were successfully released on 27 June.
