COVID 19 treatment: Delhi CM appeals people to donate blood plasma

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to people to donate blood plasma after a successful trial of plasma therapy on COVID-19 patients in the capital.
Kejriwal said the therapy was tried on four patients at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital and till now the results are encouraging.
Dr SK Sarin, Director, Institute of Liver & Biliary Science, said: “We are happy with the positive results in the 4 patients. Blood and plasma is ready for 2-3 other patients that we have at LNJP hospital, we may give them the plasma therapy today”.
The trial is being conducted in collaboration with the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences. Plasma therapy is giving positive results in China and USA.
