Chief Attorney Ashok Parija is the new Advocate General of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Chief Attorney of the Orissa Supreme Court, Ashok Parija, was appointed as Advocate General (General Counsel) by Odisha on Monday.
Parija, former Chairman of the Bar Council of India, succeeds Surya Prasad Mishra, who was named Chief Justice Officer in 2014.
Born in 1961, Parija was admitted to the Bar Association of Orissa at the age of 23. He began working under Bijoy K Mahanti, former Advocate General of Orissa.
Parija was appointed senior advocate in 2003 and was elected a member of the State Bar Council in March 2008. In the same August he became a member of the Bar Council of India. He is the son of Late Narottam Prasad Parija and Sashi Prava Parija.
