CBI carries out raids in the premises of former MP Samaywadi Party in UP

Prayagrai: The Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) raided the premises of former Samiwadi party deputy party leader Atiq Ahmed in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
According to reports, the attack began early in the morning under strict security.
The reports state that CBI had registered a case against a former deputy and 17 others accused of kidnapping and attacking Mohit Jaiswal’s real estate dealer in Deoria prison in December 2018.
A realtor based in Lucknow was kidnapped and taken to Deoria prison in UP where Atiq was filed. It was then attacked by the SP leader and his assistants. It is alleged that a businessman was forced to transfer his business to Atiq.
It further states that, before allowing Jaysvall to leave Atiq’s people, he took away his Toyota Fortuner car and other things.
Atiq Ahmed challenged Phulpur’s parliamentary constituency at the Samiwadi Party Ticket in 2014 and was president of Apne Dal from 1999 to 2003.
