‘Bate Ghate’ phase III held in Deogarh

Deogarh: The unique program ‘Bate Ghate’ saw its third phase in Deogarh district today. To build cordial relations with the general public, the Deogarh district administration has come up with this program, which is being organized on the roads.
Officials, artists and sportspersons including District Collector Sudhanshu Mohan Samal attended the event. District Collector Dr. As per the direction of Sudhanshu Mohan Samal, various programs including yoga, marathon, cycling, tree planting, padyatra were organized throughout the district. The participants enjoyed activities like bicycling, yoga, jogging, road skating, badminton, football, cricket, free health checkup, painting, drawing, street play and cultural programmes including song and dance.
Apart from building a friendly relation with the public, the administration aims to promote physical and mental health among the people through this programme. Locals also opted for a medical check-up at the health camps established by the District Health Department. Free medicines were also provided to the needy at the health camp.
Besides locals, Additional Collector, Dharam Hanshada, Sub-Collector Brajabandhu Bhoi, District Rural Development project director, Additional project director, Deogarh Tehsildar Pallavi Nayak, Assistant Collector Jaswant Dehuri, Kaibalya Kar, Sushant Kumar Nayak, Sipra Sethi, Lilabati Nayak, Bikrani Kisapatta, Executive Officer of Deogarh Municipality, and several district level officers attended the event.
Notably, this is the third phase of ‘Bate Ghate’ programme where people of all age groups exhibit their skills and talents. The first phase of this unique programme was held on September 1. Moreover, ‘Bate Ghate’ initiative provides a unique platform to keep alive the age-old culture and traditions of Odisha.The basic aim of the event is to promote social integration and protect the environment.
