Asit Tripathi appointed Chief Secretary in major bureaucratic regs in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government today appointed senior IAS officer Asit Tripathi as the new Chief Secretary of the state in a senior level bureaucratic reshuffle.
Tripathi, an IAS of 1986 batch, is currently serving as Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary and Chief Administrator KBK, appointed as State Election Commissioner from outgoing AP Padhi. Tripathi will take over the post on 19 August.
Talking to the media about his new role, Tripathi said, “It is a big responsibility and a privilege for any IAS officer. The Chief Minister has already clarified that schemes in the social justice sector should be implemented at the right time in accordance with the principles of transparency, absolute integrity and 5T. The second most important thing is the development area of ??the state. I will work to ensure increase in per capita, infrastructure and most employment of the state. “
