Amir Khan, Big B Endorse Water Conservation. “Inspiring,” says PM Modi

As parts of the country struggling with an acute water shortage, the central government launched a five-point water conservation campaign on Monday – Jal Shakti Abhiyan.
The campaign was found by two superstars – Amir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan – who reiterated the need to preserve water, contributing to a better future.
Only a few hours after the two videos were uploaded from people to save water, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised them for their efforts to create awareness.
“Extremely important points @amir_khan about the need to preserve water and create awareness at the local level,” PM Modi said, re-tweaking Amir Khan’s video.
The prime minister’s response did not remain unnoticed by Amir Khan, who then supported the new government initiative.
“. @ Narendramodi Gospod, the initiative that you have initiated to make water as the primary and primary issue for all of us is a very important step. Our sincere support is with you,” he replied.
In another tweet, PM Modi also responded to Amitabh Bachchah or Big B by calling his wise words inspirational.
“Words from @ SrBachchan, which will surely inspire you to preserve water and encourage others to do it!” JanShakti4JalShakti, “said PM Modi.
Videos of one minute, both Amir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, were split into the Jal Shakti Abhiyan Twitter account before Modi shared them on their official Twitter account with 48.3 million followers.
The conservation mission will be limited in time to 1592 accentuated blocks in 256 districts and will focus on five aspects – water conservation and rainwater harvesting, restoration of traditional and other water bodies, reuse of water and filling structures, the development of basins and intensive afforestation.
The campaign will take place through the participation of citizens during the monsoon (July 1 – September 15). The additional phase will last from 1 October to 30 November for monsoon-receiving countries in the northeast.
On Sunday, during his monthly radio address “Mann Ki Baat”, PM Modi asked citizens to help preserve water.
Over the past few weeks, Chennai has died, hitting nearly 9 million people in the city. A sharp lack of water has also been reported from parts of Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal.
