Alliance Air flight fails to land at Jharsuguda, return to BPIA

Bhubaneswar: Passengers boarding an Alliance Air flight faced a lot of inconvenience after not flying at Jharsuguda Airport due to inclement weather.
The flight reportedly took off from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here on Sunday and was to land at VSS Airport, Jharsuguda. However, bad weather forced the pilot to fly to the original airport.
The flight later landed at the safe Bhubaneswar Airport.
In particular, the Ministry of Civil Aviation had decided to install a state-of-the-art landing system at Jharsuguda Airport to make it an all weather airport. Recently, the Doppler Very High-Frequency Omni Range (DVOR) became functional at the airport.
