A man executed until the death of wild jumbo in the village of Dhenkanal

Dhenkanal: A 45-year-old man was executed to death by wild elephants today in the village of Kaduamada, located in the Hindol forest in the Dhenkanal district.
The deceased was identified as Prafulla Naik, a resident of Kaduamada village under Kutunia Gram Panchyat.
According to reports, Naik went to bathe in a nearby Bega channel along with three friends at around 2:30 pm. In the meantime, a wild jumbo turned into a ghat to drink water.
Seeing pachyderm, others managed to escape, but Naik did not do it. Jumbo then picked him up with his trunk and threw him on the ground before he was tugging at him.
Later, locals and members of the family rescued Naika in a very critical condition and took him to the Dhenkanal district hospital. However, doctors pronounced him “dead on arrival”.
