Bhubaneswar: A five-year-old boy from Mangal Bazar area in Jharsuguda has tested positive for COVID-19, informed the district Collector on Friday. In a tweet, Jharsuguda Collector informed that the entire family of the minor boy has been in home quarantine since their return from outside the State.The collector also urged the citizens not to panic citing that the situation is under control & the health condition of the entire family is being monitored. Apart from Jharsuguda, 5 new COVID-19 cases in Sundergarh, confirmed Collector Nikhil Pawan Kalyan. Meanwhile, a 24-hour shutdown was declared by the Sarpanch at Kiapalla panchayat in Banki block of Cuttack district following detection of a COVID-19 case. “The swab samples were sent for tests on May 19 and five persons, all lodged in quarantine centre, have tested positive. All of them have been shifted to COVID hospital yesterday and a shutdown has been declared for 24 hours till tomorrow as a precautionary measure,” said Chakradhar Sahoo, local Sarpanch.
