4000 pilgrims set off for Amarnath Yatra

Jammu: The Amarnath Yatra continued on Saturday as nearly 4,000 pilgrims marched into the holy Himalayan cave, police sources said.
Sources said the trip was suspended due to inclement weather for one day. A total of 3,14,584 pilgrims have paid their respects since the pilgrimage began on July 1st.
Authorities said their feet in the cave have broken records. On Friday, 5,745 pilgrims had a “darshan” at the shrine.
The cave sanctuary is located at an altitude of 3,888 meters above sea level in the Himalayan ranges in Kashmir.
According to reports, 26 pilgrims have been killed so far during the hierarchy. In addition, there are several other volunteers and security guards who are losing their lives. It will end on August 15, coinciding with the Shravan Purnima Festival.
