10641 samples tested, COVID-19 Positive Cases in Odisha At 74

Bhubaneswar: Out of the 10641 samples tested so far in Odisha, 74 persons have tested positive for COVID-19, said Chief Spokesperson of Odisha Government for COVID-19, Subroto Bagchi.
While only one person has succumbed to the disease, 24 persons have recovered and tested negative for COVID-19. Till April 20 afternoon, Odisha has 49 active coronavirus cases, he said adding that 127 persons are in hospital isolation across the state.
“Today, 13 cases were reported in Odisha out of which five are from Bhadrak, five from Jajpur, one 40-year-old male from Bisra in Sundergarh, one 32-year-old male from Balasore and a two-year-old child from Balasore,” said Bagchi.
In India, till yesterday midnight, 17,265 COVID-19 positive cases were reported and 543 persons have lost their lives. In the world, 24,18,559 persons have been affected and 1,65,741 have died due to COVID-19. Total of 11,015 deaths have been reported across the world in the last 48 hours, Bagchi further informed.
